Nov 8 Workbee — overview (10:30–13:30) We’ll bring coaches, parents, and members together to do trail maintenance and dress up Dragons Lair. Tasks and prep items include:
Planned tasks
- Dwarf Caves: add surveyor tape/ribbon to the existing metal looped structure
- Icicle Wall: install wooden dowels into pool noodles (noodles purchased) and hang them
- Drakebell Chimes: hang cowbells around Dragon’s Lair. Is there anyone willing to donate some cowbells to be rung loud at the club?
- Dark Forest: install reflective “dragon eyes” on trees and mark trail entry with surveyor tape
- Firestone Target: hang the dragon sign (target in place)
- Dragons Castle: trace, cut, assemble, and paint a two-sided plywood castle façade (skiable arch + two face holes) — painting can be done off-site
- Hobbit Hill: install temporary ribbons and signs (winter features to follow)
- Troll Hill: prepare site for castle (excavator work requested)
- Entrance: set up dragon kites and hang fairy lights (club approval & power plan required)
- Rascally Rabbit & Dark Forest lights: verify and repair as needed
- Install permanent signs showing features for kids and coaches

- Whether you can help Oct 18 and/or Nov 8
- Which skills you have and which tools you can bring
- If you’re willing to lead a small team (carpentry, painting, signage)
I’ll follow up with a final schedule, task assignments, and supply list once I know who can attend. With your help, we can bring Dragon’s Lair back to life and create a welcoming, fun place for kids and families.
