Adult classic and skate ski lessons are offered as a series of three lessons or as a single lesson focusing on a particular technique on request. The three lesson series are a progression starting from the ground up and each lesson builds upon the last one. This will take a complete beginner from not knowing anything about cross country skiing to being comfortable skiing around a beginner loop and possibility an intermediate loop. It is recommended (but not a prerequisite) that a skier wanting to learn how to skate ski should go through the classic ski lessons.
Costs for the lessons are $60.00 for a club member ($75.00 non-member) for a group of three lessons. A single lesson is $20.00 for a member ($25.00 non-member). For anyone wanting to brush up on a particular technique or get one on one lessons please contact Ron threewatts@shaw.ca for a time, date, and cost.

Testimonial:
“I was keen to learn cross-country skiing so I can “embrace the Cariboo winter” having newly moved here for retirement. I had no skiing experience before, so was not sure what I was getting into. After three lessons with Ron I had my first independent ski today with some friends. I was nervous about my skill level, but that was needless! The trails were recently groomed and I kept up to my friends with my new-found skills. The trails were fabulous, the staff and volunteers are friendly and very helpful, and my instructor Ron was great. Ron was patient, skilled and very attentive to meet me where I was at, while all the while encouraging to help build my confidence. I left the trails today grinning from ear-to-ear, and am looking forward to my next visit. Thank you Ron, and everyone at the Hallis Ski Resort!”
